As I turn the key in this door of new opportunity, I'm left feeling thankful to all of the padlocked doors along the way.
After leaving my job with a competitive pool builder here in Las Vegas of almost 7 years, amidst the feelings of grief, came an overwhelming sense of confidence that I could still continue my passion for design in a different way. For awhile it was just an idea on paper, something I would leave and come back to when I had time to daydream. I would get hung up on what to name it, how the website could look, all the legal 'stuff' that needed to be done also. But after a ton of research, long conversations with family and friends who also own their own businesses, and applying everything I have learned from the trade, I decided it was time to take the leap to start my own company. "Leisure by Lex" to me felt natural, timeless, and most importantly free-flowing.
Starting a new business from the ground up was not an easy journey. By no means was I wearing those favorited rose colored glasses, but I thought the steps would flow a tiny bit better or quicker than it did (ironic with the chosen name). There is still work to be done to make sure all our I's are crossed and T's are dotted...or something like that. Nonetheless, we are here now and so very excited to share the news that our website offering outdoor living design services is officially launching Monday, October 21st, 2024 at 11:59pm PDT!
Thank you to everyone who has lent a hand in this process and all those who have cheered along from the sidelines. Your support means the world to me, without my close family and friends I'm unsure if this launch would have happened this soon.
